Our Tie Width Explanation

You may have noticed already, we essentially have one width of our handmade ties. Our ties measure 2.75 inches at the widest point. Why is that? Well there are several reasons, which we are happy to share with you.

1. Tie widths trend. Right now super skinny is trendy, but that cannot last long. 2.75 inches wide is a perfect width to withstand the ever changing tie width trends.

2. Lapel widths. As most of you know, there is a generally accepted rule about jacket lapel widths and tie widths, that being they should roughly be the same. A tie at 2.75" will match the vast majority of jackets. This allows you to wear our ties with more of your jackets!

3. Visual appeal. The width of tie we have decided on is visually best. When worn with just a shirt and no jacket, it has signifigant enough size, and proportions nicely against the backdrop of a collared shirt, without taking over. When worn with a suit jacket, it is not hogging all that space beneath the jacket and thus hiding your shirt. It shares the sometimes cramped space between the lapels just perfectly.

That is our story, and we plan on sticking to it :) Please leave any comments or opinions below!
